Cairo
Scanner's non-functional atm so here's a snap of a work in progress. Painting on papyrus for the first time, it wrinkles but I'm told to take a warm iron to the back of it when I'm done. We'll see.
Things should be picking up now.
The pollution's been really bad so I've been staying indoors. Thank goodness for otlob.com.
The U.S. governement estimates 3000-something Iraqis killed in Gulf War II. There were 3000-something Americans (mostly) killed on 9-11. Does killing 3000-something Iraqis justify the unknown number of Americans that might possibly have been saved by maybe preventing Saddam Hussein from unleashing potentially non-existant WMD on America at some nebulous time in the future ? Killing Iraqis to save Americans. Fighting for peace... you know how the rest goes. Shrub killed 3000 innocent people and missed the 1 bad guy. 0 out of 3000. Yowza.
I'm not saying I have a better plan but that doesn't mean this was the right one.
On another depressing note, The Matrix isn't going to be released in Egypt because "Screening the movie may cause troubles and harm social peace," according to Egypt's film screaning committee. The movie is also accused by the committee of "promoting Zionism."
