I just learned that someone I used to know in San Francisco has just died of cancer. I hadn't talked to Jessica Wing in several years since she moved to New York City and I can't even call her a friend as I hardly knew her, but she was an incredibly brilliant, tallented and beautiful woman. She was writing music for plays and operas in NYC and even though I barely knew her I am very very sad to hear this news. She was only 31 years old.
